This was made around the middle to the third quarter of the 19th century.

This will cover most French frying pans, big sautes or skillets (or anyone else's) with no trouble! The handle is securely fixed with copper rivets and the patina looks stunning when light hits it.

It is an antique piece which shows wear and has surface scratches and a good new hand wiped tin lining. It weighs 1.16 kilos or 2 lbs 8.9 ozs and will be posted using our tracked parcel post.

This is an amazing thing, a real antique, and not out of place in a modern kitchen. It looks beautiful hanging up and is a really useful item for covering 'spitting' foods such as fish or meat an invaluable item for any great Cook or Chef.

It is an antique item and has many signs of age such as a wavy edge and rippling on the front edge, surface scratches. There is good new tin and 3 solid copper rivets. The handle is hand made and hand hammered wrought iron.
